Description

Voluntary Centre Services is offering a range of everyday life Maths courses. These sessions are held in your local area and use things you come across in day to day life to improve your confidence in using Maths.

Some examples of what VCS run include:
- Budgeting for Bids - This workshop looks at how to compile a project budget for funding bids considering and recovering hidden costs within your organisation such as management costs, utility bills and office rent.
For anyone who is looking at making a bid or you would like a refresher on what to consider when setting your budget for bids.

- Intro to Treasurers -This introductory workshop looks at the role of a Treasurer, breaking down barriers and myths about what your responsibilities are within a community group or small charity and what skills you need to take on the role.
We will also look at some simple methods on how to track your income and expenditure. This workshop is aimed at people wishing to become Treasurers for a community group or a registered charity.

- Intro to Project Management: Data - New to running a funded project? Want some hints and tips on things to think about when planning a new project? This Intro to Managing Projects programme is designed for people with little or no prior knowledge of running a charity/ community group project, particularly smaller projects with funding of up to £50,000.
It aims to demystify some of the terminology around project management, to provide an overview of the basics, and to provide resources and ideas about how to approach your project.
