Course Information

Description

Do you have a practical curiosity to learn how to harness, store and use solar energy?
Do you just want to discover how this can save you money or live off grid?
If so, our new Solar Battery Course is a great place to start. You will learn in a very
hands-on way how to integrate solar battery systems into your home and reduce the
reliance on conventional grid or off grid generation.
The course covers how to build a basic system and how to use the power in a variety
of different situations. It is practically based with small excursions into theory. It
covers solar panels, wiring, batteries, charge controllers, and both island and UPS
inverters. Ample time is allowed for questions and discussion.
This course runs over 4 x 2hour sessions and is led by tutor Andy Reynolds, an
experienced promoter of self-reliant low impact living. Andy has been building systems since the nineties and
course delegates will receive a copy of his authoritative book "Wind
and Solar Electricity"
